Job Description "Baptist Health Floyd has an opening for an experienced Food Services Director at our location in beautiful Southern Indiana.
Since inception in 1953, Baptist Health Floyd has emerged to be an outstanding regional healthcare provider. The 248-bed facility has a medical staff of more than 600 physicians representing a variety of specialties including, but not limited to, cardiovascular services, surgical services with robotics, a level II trauma emergency room, oncology services, orthopedics, obstetrics including pediatrics, full service diagnostic imaging and a wound care center. The hospital currently employs over 2,000 employees and is a Pathways designated facility.
Baptist Health Floyd, located in New Albany, Indiana and commonly known as the “sunny side of Louisville” which confers New Albany as a desirable smaller town but within minutes of a big city. The New Albany area is home to approximately 37,000 individuals and known for exceptional school systems, plentiful parks, great neighborhoods and miles of recreation on the Ohio River shoreline. Just minutes across three local bridges is Louisville, Kentucky known for its entertainment and food scene. In addition to Louisville, New Albany is within a two-hour drive to Indianapolis, Indiana and Cincinnati, Ohio or a short 30-minute drive to the Louisville Muhammad Ali International airport serviced by all major carriers.
Job Description
This key position will plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and provide daily leadership to the food services and Clinical Nutrition departments. The Director will have oversight of department budget and capital projects, staff development to ensure a high level of quality and service, ensures compliance with applicable regulatory bodies, and works to implement quality control and process improvement activities and initiatives. Relocation funds are available.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in dietetics, Food Service Management or related field required. Will consider eight years of food services leadership experience in lieu of a degree.
A minimum of five years related leadership experience.
Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetics. Registration (CDR) or Certified Dietary Manager required within one year of hire.
ServSafe Manager Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
RD applicants will require Kentucky and Indiana licenses within 6 months.
